Nightlife on the Gulf Coast
There are many reasons to choose Orange Beach and the Alabama Gulf Coast as your vacation destination. The beaches are pristine and are recognized as some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Though most come for the salt air and sugary white sand, many are surprised by the varied options for both indoor and outdoor entertainment. Below, we've broken our favorite actives down by 'Indoor,' 'Outdoor' and 'Movie Theaters." There is bound to be something on this list that will satisfy your desire to escape the beach for a day.
Flora-Bama
The Flora-Bama has been named the #1 beach bar in the country (by Maxim Magazine, Delta Sky Magazine, Men's Journal, USA Today, CNN, The Huffington Post, Yahoo Travel, Fox News, ect… to name a few) and has been called "America's Last Great Roadhouse". It is located on the east end of Orange Beach and straddles the Florida-Alabama State line. (get it?). It doesn't matter where you came from or why you came...your trip to the Alabama Gulf Coast won't be complete if you don't visit the Flora-Bama. Don't forget to try a Bushwacker (you'll understand after just one). We recommend coming with a designated driver or use one of the beach taxi services as there will be no fooling the local constable when you leave stumbling out of this watering hole.
Live Bait
You will find Live Bait on or site elsewhere for dining but they have so much more to offer. After @ 8 or 9 at night, the "Tiki Bar" and "The Club" start winding up. They offer live music (check their calendar) and DJ's as well as a popular dueling piano bar. Remember, after dinner, the comedy/music routine might not be suitable for kids. And finally, when you have developed enough liquid courage, there's Chubbs, the mechanical shark.

The Hangout
The Hang Out was a favorite before the big music festival came to town. Now everyone's heard of it. They serve food but don't come here to eat unless it's for lunch. At that time of day, this beachfront "hang out" is great for family entertainment. If you're looking for after-hours fun (and they serve up lots of that) Uber in about 9 PM.
